Elevate Management is expanding its operations, and we have several key roles we’ll be looking to fill in the next few weeks. To give you your best chance at landing a career with us, here are some tips on how to polish your resume, and how to prepare for your interview.
First, your resume. You want to choose a type that best fits your professional experience. The three main options are chronological, functional, or a combination of the two. Since we enjoy working with new grads in the Elevate Management office, we see a lot of functional resumes that focus more on skills and abilities than work history, but you should pick whatever makes you look best.
There are plenty of other tips out there, but another one we want to emphasize is the need to proofread. Typos can take what would be a stellar document and make the content look far less impressive than it should. Not only should you look over your resume before handing it in, it’s also a good idea to have a couple friends check it out too.
To prepare for the interview, plan to spend at least a couple hours looking over our website and social media feeds. It’s best to know who we are and what we do before sitting down with us so that you can more easily imagine being part of our team. Have some questions prepared for us as well; that shows us you‘ve really given your career here some thought.
Use these tips to make sure that your resume gets noticed and your interview goes well. Follow Elevate Management on LinkedIn to see what positions are available.
